RelayTel Privacy Policy

RelayTel (“RelayTel,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides verified business calling, call bridging, transcription, AI-generated summaries, and related portal, email, and messaging features. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to customers and end users.
By providing a mobile number and opting in, users may receive transactional SMS messages from RelayTel such as verification codes, account alerts, call recap notifications, or support-related messages. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Users may reply STOP to unsubscribe from non-essential SMS messages and HELP for assistance where supported.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with vendors or platform providers that help us deliver messaging services.
1. Information We Collect
Account and business information
- Name, company name, email address, phone number, billing contact information, and account credentials
- Verified number ownership or authorization information
- Customer support communications and onboarding details
Call and usage information
- Caller and destination numbers, timestamps, duration, call routing details, and bridge metadata
- Audio, transcripts, summaries, action items, and portal notes where enabled
- Device, browser, IP address, event logs, and general service usage information
Messaging information
- Phone numbers submitted for verification, notifications, support, or account security
- SMS delivery logs, consent records, opt-in details, HELP/STOP actions, and message history
2. How We Use Information
- Provide and operate verified business calling, call bridging, messaging, and portal services
- Verify ownership or authorization of phone numbers used with RelayTel
- Generate transcripts, summaries, action items, and call recaps
- Send verification messages, account alerts, support notices, and service-related notifications
- Improve performance, quality, fraud prevention, and service reliability
- Investigate misuse, enforce our terms, and comply with law or carrier requirements
3. SMS Program Disclosures
RelayTel sends SMS messages in two registered campaign categories:
- Call Recap Delivery: notifications and links delivering call summaries, transcripts, and action items after a call is completed.
- Customer Care: account notifications, support replies, onboarding messages, security alerts, and verification codes.
How users opt in: Users opt in by submitting their mobile number through the early-access / demo request webform at https://www.relay.tel and ticking the SMS consent checkbox, which displays the program description, message frequency, message and data rate disclosure, and STOP/HELP keywords before submission.
Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on user activity and account events. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase. Users may opt out of non-essential SMS messages by replying STOP. Transactional or service-critical security messages may still be sent where necessary to operate the account or comply with security requirements.
No mobile information sharing: RelayTel will not share, sell, or transfer mobile information or SMS opt-in data to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information may be shared only with vendors and platform providers (such as our messaging carrier) acting on our behalf to deliver the messaging services described above.
4. Sharing of Information
We may share information only as needed to operate RelayTel, including with:
- Telecommunications and messaging providers
- Cloud hosting, analytics, and infrastructure vendors
- Transcription, summarization, or AI processing vendors acting on our behalf
- Legal authorities where required by law, subpoena, or valid request
We do not sell personal information or mobile opt-in data for third-party marketing. We do not share phone numbers or SMS consent data with third parties for their own promotional use.
5. Call Recording, Transcription, and Consent
RelayTel may process audio, generate transcripts, and create summaries where those features are enabled. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their use of RelayTel complies with applicable call recording, monitoring, and consent laws, including any required disclosures to call participants.
6. Data Retention
We retain account, usage, and messaging records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Call audio, transcripts, and summaries may be retained according to the customer’s account settings, plan configuration, or legal requirements.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we work to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.
8. Your Choices
- Update account and contact information through your account or by contacting support
- Reply STOP to opt out of non-essential SMS messages where supported
- Request account or data deletion, subject to legal and operational retention requirements
9. Children
RelayTel is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and post the revised policy on our website.
